Rare dual-fuel 4.6 Range Rover

Range Rovers remain desirable and increasingly affordable although finding one of the ‘Classic’ models of the 1970s and 1980s can be difficult. Examples that have had a poor service history or exposed to harsh off-road conditions can be expensive to repair, while even those in good condition can be expensive on fuel. This 1986 4-door example has been subjected to an extensive renovation including a quality paint job and shows it has been cared for by its one previous owner. It has also been fitted with the biggest, and most desirable, engine – a brand new Rover 4.6-litre V8 which has now done only about 30,000km. In this case, it has been converted to also run on LPG to dramatically reduce the cost of refuelling but can instantly be switched to run on petrol. The V8 is mated to a five-speed manual transmission which is rare for this model. Cabin condition is very good with good seats and fabrics, along within the attractive woodgrain door and dash panelling. The Range Rover suits a collector who enjoys a practical and reliable car that can be used for towing, cruising, commuting and thanks to its competent 4WD system, even any off-road activity. The car is on concessional license and is located in Perth and available for inspection. Additional information and photographs may be available. Transport to any buyer location and inspection reports can be arranged at buyer’s cost.
