This is a very special car for a discerning owner who wants a pristine classic roadster designed and built by the previous owner to be an exhilarating driver’s car to be used regularly. The restoration included every nut and bolt removed starting 2010 with a strengthened chassis then zinc primed and powder-coated. The gearbox and differential have been reconditioned. The suspension upgrades included nylon bushes and Koni shocks with a fully reconditioned brake system including new linings. The body was stripped to bare metal with an epoxy urethane primer and baked enamel respray and clear coat. The engine was also fully rebuilt, machined and balanced, ported and polished and converted to run on unleaded fuel with new valves and guides, etc. Roller rockers were fitted, along with ceramic-coated extractors and tailor-made exhaust. It has a Motec M48 Clubman engine management system with air cooling, tailor-made intake manifold, throttle bodies, ram tubes and linkages. The fuel pump is modified to suit the upgraded engine with new parts included. The most recent engine work included the addition of an oil cooler, new half shafts, new brakes and Pirelli tyres and repainted Minilite wheels.
The interior has been fully re-trimmed to original specification including new dash and dash pad shroud and corners. It has a competition wood steering wheel, reconditioned gauges, new carpets (black), new upholstery and padding to the leather seats, a tailor-made cloth soft top, tonneau and bikini, new lights, rechromed bright ware, and new tinted windscreen.
