Beautifully presented and meticulously maintained 4/4 has a full history through its 39 years and mere 22,560km since new. The desirable 4/4, no longer available as a new model in Australia, has had five owners with the current owner — a longtime Morgan car club member — selling only to reduce the size of his collection. He describes it as a faultless car that is easy to drive, simple to maintain and own, and a pleasure to use on club events. It is regularly serviced, cleaned and maintained. Two years ago it suffered a camshaft belt break that required a new head and valve train. Previous work (2006) included repainting (original colour), new carpets, new chrome wire wheels, new timber dash and mechanical updates including an unleaded fuel conversion. It comes with a soft-top hood, a tonneau, a cover for the spare wheel, chrome luggage rack and driving lights. The car was bought in January 27, 1984 and registered in the UK on May 1, 1984 by its first owner, Wing Commander Michael John Matthews. It was stored each winter, including draining all fluids. It was imported into Australia in 1994 and went to Tasmania, then to an owner in NSW who drove it home and used it for occasional Sunday drives. It was then bought by a WA enthusiast in 2002 when it had travelled only 8400 miles. The current owner uses the car infrequently on Morgan car club runs. The car is in very good condition and will represent a solid purchase for a Morgan enthusiast wanting a very reliable and original example. It is offered for sale at $55,000 negotiable. The car is on full licence in WA. Inspection is in Perth northern suburbs. Some additional information and photographs are available. A walk-around video can be arranged. Transport to any buyer location and inspection reports can be arranged at the buyer’s cost.
